Annaliesa Hill-Henley

Annaliesa Hill-Henley is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She began her years at Oakwood College from 1971-1973. After leaving Oakwood in 1973 she transferred to Alabama A&M University where she graduated in 1975 with a Degree in Special Education.

Annaliesa moved to Cleveland Ohio in 1975 and began working with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a teacher of cognitive, disabled and developmental students. While working with Cuyahoga County Board of Disabilities she earned a Master of Education degree in Special Education. She also helped to implement Inclusion Programs for special needs children within some of the public schools in the Cleveland area.

Annaliesa married Gerald C. Henley in 1983. They have been married for forty years and are the proud parents of two wonderful and amazing adult men.

She has worked in several political campaigns. She helped her husband to win a seat on the Cleveland School Board and eventually helped him win the President of the Cleveland Board of Education.

Annaliesa is a proud member of Southeast Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cleveland Ohio. She has worked as Sabbath School teacher, usher, and greeter at both Glenville SDA Church and Southeast SDA Church.

Annaliesa retired from teaching in 2008.
