Paulette Howell-Franklin, a California native, attended Oakwood College (now Oakwood University). In 1973, she married Donald R. Franklin, and their union was blessed with three wonderful sons: Donald (affectionately known as Ray), DeVon, and David. Donald is the CEO of Crown & Conquer, DeVon is the CEO of Franklin Entertainment, and David, a graduate of Oakwood University, now known as Dr. David Franklin, is the Lead Pastor of Incredible Church and CEO of OCCUR, both based in Oakland, CA. Paulette is also proud to have two amazing daughters-in-law and four beautiful grandchildren. Known as “Goggie” to her grandchildren, she finds immense joy in being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
While continuing her education, Paulette opened Advantage Plus Child Development Center in 1986. There, she focused on skill development, introduced an after-school tutoring and mentoring program, and enriched children’s lives with activities like swimming, tennis, bowling, and theater. After 24 remarkable years of success, she closed the Center and transitioned into the Behavioral Health field, where she continues to make an impact throughout the Bay Area.
An active member of her church and community, Paulette is passionate about singing, serving others and allowing God to use her to further his work.
